Quick summary: We store only what's needed to run Datta AI (your account, apps you build, usage). We don't sell your data. Your published apps are public when you publish them. Everything else stays private.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect:

Your email address or Google account info
Username you choose
Password (encrypted, we cannot see it)

App Data

When you use Datta AI Builder:

Your prompts — what you type to build apps
Generated code — the apps AI creates for you
Published apps — code you explicitly publish becomes public at your unique URL
Usage counts — how many apps you build per day (for plan limits)

Technical Data

IP address (for security, rate limiting)
Browser type, device info
Basic analytics (page views, features used)

Payment Data

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We store only: subscription plan, start date, renewal date. We never see your card details.

How We Use Your Data

To generate apps via AI (prompts go to Gemini API and similar providers)
To save your apps so you can come back to them
To serve your published apps to the public at their URLs
To enforce plan limits (builds per day)
To contact you about your account or important updates
To improve Datta AI (which features work, which don't)

What We Don't Do

We don't sell your data to anyone
We don't share your prompts or code with advertisers
We don't read your private apps for business purposes
We don't train AI on your private code without permission

Third-Party Services

To provide our service, we use:

Google Gemini — AI that generates your code (prompts are sent but not stored by Google for training)
MongoDB Atlas — secure database for your account and apps
Razorpay — payment processing
Google OAuth — if you log in with Google
Render / Vercel — hosting infrastructure

Published Apps

When you click Publish, your app's code becomes publicly viewable at its URL (e.g., datta-ai.com/apps/yourname/my-app). Anyone with the link can see and use your app. Don't publish apps containing secrets like API keys, passwords, or private data.

You can unpublish or delete any app at any time from your dashboard.

Data Retention

Account: Kept as long as your account is active
Apps: Kept until you delete them
Chat history: Kept for 90 days, then auto-deleted
Deleted accounts: All data permanently removed within 30 days

Your Rights

You can at any time:

View all your data (in Settings → Export Data)
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your apps and code
Unpublish any public app
Cancel your subscription

Children's Privacy

Datta AI is intended for users aged 13 and above. If you're under 18, please use Datta AI with parental guidance. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Security

We take security seriously:

All traffic encrypted with HTTPS
Passwords hashed using bcrypt (we can't see them)
Database access restricted and logged
Regular security audits

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us at security@datta-ai.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Datta AI grows. Major changes will be emailed to registered users. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
